Olga Markari

Η Όλγα Μάρκαρη σπούδασε χορό στη σχολή Rudra Bejart στην Ελβετία και στο Conservatorio de Danza de Madrid Maria de avila στην Ισπανία.

Το 2014 χόρεψε σε παραγωγές του Béjart Ballet Lausanne και το 2015 έγινε μέλος του de Dutch Junior Dance Division. Στη συνέχεια, το 2017, έγινε μέλος της ομάδας Wroclaw Ballet.

Το 2021 προήχθη σε demi-soloist στην Opera Nova στην Πολωνια και το 2022 έγινε έγινε σολίστ, ερμηνεύοντας πρωταγωνιστικούς ρόλους σε σημαντικά έργα του κλασικού και σύγχρονου ρεπερτορίου. 

 Από τον Ιούνιο του 2024 εργάζεται ως freelancer χορεύτρια και χορογράφος, ενώ έχει αναλάβει και καθήκοντα Project Manager για Ευρωπαϊκά επιχορηγημένα προγράμματα που αφορούν τον χορό και το embodiment. Είναι πιστοποιημένη δασκάλα χορού από το Royal Academy of Dance και yoga instuctor, ενώ παράλληλα παρακολουθεί μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές στον τομέα της Πολιτιστικής Πολιτικής και Ανάπτυξης.

Ανάμεσα στα χορογραφικά της έργα περιλαμβάνονται:«The rite of no return» gια το Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Λευκωσίας, Πειρασμός» για την Opera Nova, «BElong» και «Patient no8» για το Wroclaw Ballet, «Two or less» σε συνεργασία με τον Daniel Agudo Gallardo που έγινε πρεμιέρα στο Semperoper Theatre, «What a Perfect World» που παρουσιάστηκε στην Πλατφόρμα Χορογραφίας Κύπρου και απέσπασε το βραβείο νέου χορογράφου, κ.α. 

Olga Markari

Olga Markari studied dance at the Rudra Béjart School in Switzerland and at the Conservatorio Superior de Danza de Madrid María de Ávila in Spain. In 2014, she performed in productions of the Béjart Ballet Lausanne, and in 2015 she became a member of the Dutch Junior Dance Division. In 2017, she joined the Wrocław Ballet.

In 2021 she was promoted to demi-soloist at Opera Nova in Poland, and in 2022 she became a soloist, performing leading roles in important works from both the classical and contemporary repertoire.

Since June 2024, she has been working as a freelance dancer and choreographer, while also taking on the role of Project Manager for European-funded programs related to dance and embodiment. She is a certified dance teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance and a yoga instructor, while also pursuing postgraduate studies in Cultural Policy and Development.

Among her choreographic works are: The Rite of No Return for the International Festival of Nicosia, Peirasmos (Temptation) for Opera Nova, BElong and Patient No. 8 for the Wrocław Ballet, Two or Less in collaboration with Daniel Agudo Gallardo, which premiered at the Semperoper Theatre, and What a Perfect World, presented at the Cyprus Choreography Platform where it received the Young Choreographer Award, among others.
