«Η παράσταση που θα δείτε έχει σχέση με τα ρομπότ. Επέλεξα αυτό το θέμα, επειδή καμιά φορά νιώθω κι εγώ σαν ρομπότ», δηλώνει ο Μανώλης Σαριδάκης.
Με την αφοπλιστικά οξυδερκή σύλληψή του, ο Μανώλης Σαριδάκης καταπιάνεται με το εξαιρετικά επίκαιρο θέμα των ρομπότ, πλέκοντας το κρίσιμο ζήτημα του ελέγχου και της τεχνητής αλλά και συναισθηματικής νοημοσύνης με τον δικό του αγώνα για αυτονομία και ελεύθερη έκφραση.
Ο ίδιος ο χορογράφος προγραμματίζει επί σκηνής τα «ρομπότ» να εκτελέσουν το καθένα και όλα μαζί από έναν προσωπικό χορό και, στη συνέχεια, τα μεταφέρει σε ένα εικονικό bar/club, όπου θα τους δώσει νέες εντολές για συναισθήματα on demand!
Πάνω στην πίστα, το κάθε ρομπότ θα αναμετρηθεί με το συναίσθημα που του έχει ανατεθεί, οδηγώντας σε μια ανατροπή των σχέσεων και στην κορύφωση της sci-fi περιπέτειας.

"The performance you're going to see has to do with robots. I chose this topic because I feel like a robot sometimes too," notes Manolis Saridakis
Through his disarmingly incisive concept, Manolis Saridakis explores the timely topic of robots, weaving critical issues of control, as well as artificial and emotional intelligence, into his ongoing quest for autonomy and freedom of expression.
The choreographer himself appears on stage, programming each "robot" to perform – both individually and together – a dance of their own. He then transports them into a virtual bar/club setting, where he gives a new command: "feelings on demand"!
On the dance floor, each robot tackles the emotion it's been assigned, upending their interrelationships and leading us into the climactic scene of this sci-fi adventure.
Μανώλης Σαριδάκης
Ο Μανώλης Σαριδακης είναι ο πρώτος χορογρογράφος στην Ελλάδα με μαθησιακή αναπηρία και αυτισμό. Ζει στην Αθήνα και δραστηριοποιείται στον σύγχρονο χορό, το θέατρο και τη μουσική. Έχει εκπαιδευτεί ως χορευτής και χορογράφος σύγχρονου χορού μέσα από τα προγράμματα iDance Europe Beyond Access και Unlimited Access της Στέγης του Ιδρύματος Ωνάση, τόσο στην Ελλάδα όσο και στο εξωτερικό. Επιπλεον, έχει συμμετάσχει σε εργαστήρια σύγχρονου χορού της liminal και του ΙΣΟΝ. Η πρώτη του παράσταση είχε τίτλο «Έχουν τα ρομπότ έχουν συναισθήματα;» (2022) και παρουσιάστηκε στη Στέγη του Ιδρύματος Ωνάση, στο Novi Sad της Σερβίας, στη Λεμεσό και τη Λευκωσία, στο Ίδρυμα Θεοτόκος, στο Φεστιβάλ Ακροποδητί και στο Our Festival 8, στη Ρεματιά Χαλανδρίου. Σήμερα, μαζί με τη μόνιμη συνεργάτιδά του Μέντη Μέγα, ετοιμάζουν την παράσταση «Κλέφτες & Αστυνόμοι». Ο Σαριδάκης έχει συμμετάσχει σε παραστάσεις της Στέγης του Ωνασείου, όπως η «Γλυκιά Άβυσσος» και η Deep Fusion Butterfly Band, καθώς και σε πολλές παραστάσεις με την Artogether. Έλαβε μέρος στο ντοκιμαντέρ του Σταύρου Πετρόπουλο «Είμαι ένας χορευτής» σε παραγωγή της Στέγης του Ωνασείου και σπουδάζει μουσική στο Εθνικό Ωδείο.
Manolis Saridakis
Manolis Saridakis is the first choreographer in Greece with a learning disability and autism. He lives in Athens and works in contemporary dance, theatre, and music. He has trained as a dancer and contemporary dance choreographer through the iDance Europe Beyond Access and Unlimited Access programs of the Onassis Foundation, both in Greece and abroad. Additionally, he has participated in contemporary dance workshops organized by liminal and ISON.
His first performance, titled "Do Robots Have Emotions (2022), was presented at the Onassis Foundation Cultural Centre, Novi Sad in Serbia, Limassol and Nicosia in Cyprus, the Theotokos Foundation, the Akropoditi Festival, and Our Festival 8 at Rematia Chalandriou. Today, together with his permanent collaborator Menti Mega, he is preparing the performance "Cops & Robbers".
Saridakis has also participated in performances at the Onassis Cultural Centre, including "Sweet Abyss" and the Deep Fusion Butterfly Band, as well as numerous productions with Artogether. He appeared in the documentary "I Am a Dancer" by Stavros Petropoulos, produced by the Onassis Cultural Centre, and he is currently studying music at the National Conservatory of Athens.
